FEATURES OF DEVELOPMENT OF RISK OF POSTURAL INSTABILITY IN PEOPLE 65-89 YEARS OLD IN NORTH EUROPEAN RUSSIA

Abstract:

The study focused on assessing the risk of postural instability in people 65-89 years of age living in the European North of Russia. Were surveyed 4,000 people aged 65-89 years. To assess the risk of postural instability using a questionnaire «Falls Risk Status». Found that in men 65-89 years of age living in the European North of Russia, more likely to develop moderate risk of falls than women 65-89 years of age (odds ratio - 1.2: 95% CI [1.1 - 1.4] ). It was concluded that the questionnaire «Falls Risk Status» is appropriate to introduce the practice of social work with persons of advanced age, to help them predict the level of health and social care.
