Abstract:

Purpose - Studying dynamics of lipid peroxidation processes and system state protection antiaksidantnoy gerontological aspect in patients with comorbid COPD and chronic pancreatitis. The article presents the results of investigation of lipid peroxidation and antioxidant protection system in 95 patients with combined course of COPD and chronic pancreatitis, including 51 patients aged 60 years and 44 individuals are under the age of 60. It has been shown that in both groups of patients occurs hyperactivation of lipid peroxidation, which is accompanied by increasing concentration of E220 and E400 in the serum of patients, and the severity of such deviations has a direct correlation to age. These changes occur against oppression antioxidant defense system, which is manifested a significant decrease in superoxidedismutase activity, the level of which has an inverse correlation with the age of the patient. Such deviations in the state of lipid peroxidation and antioxidant protection are probably displaying involutive processes and can be considered as a poor prognostic factor in such patients.
