Abstract:

Objective: to study new forms of drug services for older patients, such as: electronic queue, information kiosk, on-line booking, electronic prescription, pharmacy robot. Their introduction is shown to increase availability and quality of drug service, especially of the elderly population. Taking into account the increasing competition and patients’ interests, pharmacies provide additional services on the organization of medicinal plants departments, diagnostic testing, vaccination, holding the educational seminars. Discount programs and social pharmacies have become widely spread. Most services and programs are intended for elderly patients as the most numerous category of pharmacy customers.
