Резюме:

This article presents the results of their own research in the prevalence of sarcopenia among older age groups in nursing homes for the elderly and disabled, as well as among the unorganized population. Just address the issues of terminology, epidemiology and clinical significance of this problem. Delivers the problem of having to develop the best methods of prevention and treatment of sarcopenia, the feasibility of establishing the stepwise algorithm diagnosis of this disease, as well as the relevance of the qualification training of personnel working in health and social services, taking into account the increase of the level of knowledge on the problems of people in older age groups.
