Ðåçþìå:

There was conducted the analysis of the incidence and features of brain lesions according to computer tomography (CT) of the brain for patients between 85 and 99 years. 12.8% of surveyed patients had no diagnosis of chronic cerebral ischemia and were characterized by the smallest lesions of the white substance and liquor system brain. All patients with cognitive disruption had a moderately distinctive leukoaraiosis and isolated lacunar lesions according to CT, as well as the high frequency of occurrence of arterial hypertension, atrial fibrillation and postinfarction cardiosclerosis. At the same time, the average figures of lipid profile for all patients were within the reference figures. It is shown that the pathogenesis of cerebral vascular insufficiency and the development of dementia have an influence of arterial hypertension and atrial fibrillation, but not atherosclerosis. With aggravation stage of chronic cerebral ischemia in patients older than 84 years significantly reduced the density of white matter (P <0.05), increasing the area of leukoaraiosis (p <0.001), vozrastaetchastota occurrence of lacunar infarcts (p <0.05) and the expansion of the lateral ventricles of the brain brain (p <0.001).

Keywords: old age, long-lived, chronic cerebral ischemia, arterial hypertension, atrial fibrillation, leukoaraiosis, lacunar lesion
