Abstract:

It is now recognized that sexuality and sexual function are integral parts of the life of an old man. However, in the elderly is the most common sexual dysfunction both organic and functional origin. The purpose of the work to conduct a sociological study of the peculiarities of sexual function in old age and to identify the impact of sexual dysfunction on quality of life. As a result of this work found that the respondents older people who are retired and married, both men and women, there are complaints about the changes in sexual function due primarily involutive processes in the genital area. For older men and women there were typical psychosexual communicative changes, but their frequency of occurrence compared with involutive sexual difficulties. The presence of sexual dysfunction in older age significantly reduces the quality of life, especially expressed a feeling of isolation from the society, anxiety for the future, decreased self-esteem.
