The aim of this work is evaluation of programs to improve adherence to drug therapy elderly in clinical practice. These programs were developed during a study conducted in Ecuador from July to September 2011. According to the survey identified the main problems faced by older people during drug therapy, reducing their adherence to treatment. In the future, the team who carried out the research, has developed a number of measures aimed at addressing these problems or reduce their impact on the patients who were tested in actual clinical practice, which allowed us to estimate their efficiency. According to the results of work it was shown that the measures proposed by the author led to significantly improve adherence to elderly patients to assign them to pharmacotherapy, which certainly increased the effectiveness of the treatment.
