Abstract:

This article is problem need to raise the level of basic knowledge in Gerontology and geriatric social workers engaged in the direct care of elderly and senile age. The aim of our study: the role of social workers in the implementation of measures to improve the medical and social efficiency of health services patients of older age groups. Main complaints clients have been clarified and, as it turned out, all complaints are included in the structure of the main geriatric syndromes. One of the main problems of the elderly and senile age are fractures, which often is osteoporosis. The questionnaires included questions on prevention, risk factors, as well as general questions and addressed the physiology of bone tissue. The questionnaires included situational tasks requiring knowledge of first aid in a variety of emergency situations. The problem is in the training of social workers caring for the elderly and senile age and the need for modernization of social services of the Belgorod region.
