Abstract:

In article the organization of hospital stage of rehabilitation for 313 older patients, which underwent surgery in the Russian Federation is considered (the case of Belgorod). Data of our research are showed that in steady-state conditions there is a possibility of application of a wide range of methods and convalescent facilities. Therefore the existing system possesses potential for realization of rehabilitation programs in hospital for older patients. In spite of high clinical efficiency of hospital stage in medico-social rehabilitation, improvement took place in 86,6% of cases, absence of dynamics - at 5,8%, deterioration – at 7,6%, problems of administering surgical help by the older patient are detected. Possible ways of development in rehabilitation service for this category of patients on realization basis of methods and the techniques, including use of specialized geriatric examination, definition for each patient of clinical, medical-social and social purposes of rehabilitation and application of team training with instruction of specialists involved in rehabilitation are suggested.
