GERONTOLOGICAL AND GENDER ASPECTS OF LEPTINEMII IN PATIENTS WITH ARTERIAL HYPERTENSION AND OBESITY

The aim of the study. Study of the level of leptin in the blood of patients with arterial hypertension and obesity according to age and gender. Were examined 123 patients with hypertension. Obesity was determined by body mass index. Leptin levels were determined by ELISA. Results. Weight gain in patients with arterial hypertension and overweight is associated with increased leptin levels, while maintaining gender differences. In women with arterial hypertension and high body mass manifestations hyperleptinemia more pronounced under the age of 55 years compared with patients older than 55 years. In men with arterial hypertension and overweight, on the contrary, hyperleptinemia observed in the age of 55, in contrast to patients younger than 55 years. Revealed a positive correlation relationship between leptin and BMI in both men and women with arterial hypertension, with a stronger bond occurred in patients younger than 55 years.
