Abstract:

Analysis of the incidence of melanoma of the skin in the Russian Federation in 2011 showed that in certain regions, such as the Central federal district, the incidence rates were higher than the national average. Analysis of the incidence of age-appropriate characteristics of patients showed that the population in the older age group is at increased risk of melanoma of the skin. The aim of this study was to establish the risk for melanoma of the skin in the Russian Federation. The obtained results were consistent with literature data sources. In the primary prevention of melanoma skin for early detection of background skin conditions necessary to carry out routine inspections in high-risk groups, especially for the elderly population. As part of the prevention of this disease to conduct a thorough examination of the skin of the elderly population when seeking medical care.
