Abstract:

The article deals with clinical effect of specialized treatment in geriatric hospital on health-related quality of life. Research embraces 30 elderly patients treated in the department of neurology for discirculatory encephalopathy. Purpose - Studying the impact of specialized inpatient care on the formation of the quality of life of elderly patients with circulatory encephalopathy. Quality of life was examined with SF-36 questionnaire including 8 scales: vitality, physical functioning, bodily pain, general health perceptions, physical role functioning, emotional role functioning, social role functioning, mental health. Patients were questioned on the day of admission, at te end of treatment course and one month after retirement.
